Androstanone is similar to androstenone in molecular structure, however: it demonstrates a more powerful effect than androstenone, and is 30% more volatile, as well.
It has many unique attributes which set it apart from androstenone and other pheromones. It is an excellent "buffer" which tends to negate the aggressive effects of androstenone & other pheromones when used in synchrony.
